You Don't Have to Slam Into A Wall to Hop Aboard This Hogwarts Express!

Attention muggles for there is something fantastic coming your way. News is in that whilst it may not be September 1, you can still step aboard the Hogwarts Express!
The original steam engine train had just been unveiled as part of the Harry Potter Studio Tour experience in England and to get to it, you don't even have to ram yourself into a brick wall at Platform 9 ¾.
The must-see 20,000ft² section will include a number of fascinating features that will make fans of the series wish they had a Portkey just so that they can get there right now!
Let's take a look at what gems are on offer and investigate whether the attraction is really worth the hype:

British steam train no. 5972

Otherwise known as 'Olton Hall,' the 78-year-old steam train used as the Hogwarts Express will form the center point of the expansion.

You will have the chance to climb aboard the iconic train and explore the interior of its carriage. This is exactly the same one that used during filming!
As you ascend the train steps, take note of the platform's glass roof, yellow brick walls and luggage racks, all intricately reassembled by a team headed by construction managers and set decorators. You'll be happy to know that you will also be able to get the full platform experience as a special effects supervisor has rigged the locomotive with special effects steam.

'Windows' into iconic train scenes

Once inside, you will be able to peer into 'windows' that demonstrate the process used to create the most famous train scenes from the movies such as the escape of Harry’s first Chocolate Frog:

Platform 9 ¾

Stepping back off the steam train, visitors also have the opportunity to pose with the luggage trolley on Platform 9 ¾ as it disappears into the station's yellow brick wall:

As excited as you might get though, I still suggest you don't attempt to run at it as that will definitely result in some painful bruises. Harry and Ron would know.

Personally, I can't wait to get myself to this new expansion and feed my Harry Potter passion. I have always wondered how they recreated those incredible train scenes and this is a great chance to find out.
For a massive geek for anything Potter like myself, this is a fantastic way to satisfy my addiction.
