These Celebrities Have Had a Very Different Sort of Photoshop Makeover, But Are They Still Beautiful?

The media is often guilty of reinforcing the misconception that there is only one size of beauty out there for women, but a 20-year-old computer technician named George Lopera is using Photoshop in a very different way than most glossy magazines.
Instead of shaving off chunks of thigh, elongating limbs and clinching waists, Lopera is using the photo editing software to pack the pounds onto female celebrities to spread his vision that 'big is beautiful.'
In Lopera's own words, plucked from his Deviantart profile, he urges people to:
Look at my pictures and you will see that big is beautiful… but there are many people today who don’t agree with that… When they see my gorgeous, fat celebrities, I think they might realize how wrong they are
But what do you think when you look at the plus-sized photo editing below?

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence is known for celebrating her figure that she describes as 'average,' but would she still be as successful if she was the size that she is in the image above?

Mila Kunis

Mila Kunis isn't world's apart from her Family Guy character, Meg Griffen, in these plus-sized edits.

Rita Ora

We are used to seeing Rita Ora being scantily clad, but this image presents a whole different reality.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian is celebrated for her fuller figure, but would her fans approve of this new look?

Emma Watson

I'm not sure if Emma Watson is plus-sized or in her third trimester here, but she is certainly bigger.

Iggy Azelia

Iggy's famous posterior is overshadowed by her newfound bulk in this image

Coby Smoulders

Colby Smoulders still looks gorgeous with a fuller figure.

Katie Perry

Is Katy Perry still your teenage dream when she's packing a few extra pounds?
But, if the images above make you feel uncomfortable, you are not alone, or necessarily prejudiced against plus-sized women.
While the artist clearly celebrates plus-sized bodies and probably had good intentions, Bustle has argued that his presentation of these celebrities is just another incidence of digitally altering a women's body fetishistically without their consent.

These images also raise the important question of why there are so few plus-size celebrities to celebrate without having to resort to distorting skinner popular figures. Or in the words of fashion blogger, Bethany Rutter:
Yes, of course ‘fat women can be beautiful too.’ But there are loads of fat women making this point all over the internet, without instrumentalizing other women’s bodies to do it. It shows the real problem is that there are next to no fat female celebrities that are portrayed as being attractive, so filling the public eye with beautiful fat women is the way to combat this. Not by manipulating the image of other women.

What are your opinions on Lopera's images? Are they positive to plus-size women or do they encourage people to poke fun?
